Personality/Background: 

As Celestia left the Mirrorverse for the very last time, never to see her love again, she was completely devastated. She mourned for weeks upon weeks thankfully having her dear sister Luna to cover for her as she grieved. 
The queen gradually felt that there was something more wrong with her, so whilst not wanting to alarm her sister she simply stated that she was going to be away for a while on a trip around Equestria's borders, to clear her mind. 

Before she left she cast a spell over herself so to disguise herself as a normal unicorn and then sat off to the Canterlot hospital. She disguised herself often as to not bring unwanted attention to herself when she needed to be out of the castle for whatever reason. 

At the hospital she was informed that she was in fact pregnant. Shocked and scared as well as incredibly happy she returned to the castle to share the news with her sister. 

It didn't take long for the public to find out and she was suddenly caught in a scandal over who the father was, many ponies not knowing what to think of their leader. Celestia however endured, not letting the situation get the better of her and several months later her little ray of sunshine, Cerulean, was born. 

Cerulean grew up extremely spoiled by his mother and auntie, yet those were practically all the friends he had. He did try to play with the guards when at points yet always getting turned down because of the fact that they were working. This left him very lonely up until the day that he meet Duke Blueblood. 

The young colt idolized the older stallion for his incredible confidence and his way to get what he wanted through simple well placed words. Cerulean started following him around and started talking and acting like he was way older than he actually was. He'd rather spend his days talking about buisness agreements than running around playing in the castle halls. 

As Cerulean grew older he and Blueblood became closer and the young prince started seeing the duke more as a friend than a mentor. 

These feelings of not needing anyone else around him made the prince rather cold and harsh unless he wants something from you, that's when he'll do a 180 turn and become the most charming and charismatic stallion in Equestria. 

He is a noble through and through, and is usually described as being a complete stick in the mud. He rarely jokes or laughs and has an almost constant serious look on his face. He enjoys balls and gatherings as he enjoys mingling with the upper class. 
His mother often tries to make him loosen up but at the same time accepts their differences. She sill sees him as her little baby and will often sneak in a kiss on the cheek whenever he is looking a little to blue however. Something that he finds most upsetting and embarasing. 

He studies and reads a lot, hoping to become as good of a king as he heard his father were, and even though he prefers to interact with the upper class he still cares deeply for the rest of their people. He has a very Justice driven mindset but is not as forgiving as his mother and doesn't truly believe in the whole reformation thing that she set in motion. As a result he doesn't trust Discord or Starlight Glimmer and will throw them suspicious glances whenever they make eye contact. 

He has an air of superiority surrounding him, and he has a tendancy to look down on other ponies if the adress him wrong (both lieteraly and figuratively)

Cerulean also suffers from some side effects of being a dimension defying being. He will be plauged by what can only be described as sudden glitches in which something small on him will change, such as a tuft of fur or an eye changing color, or his horn slightly shifting shape. These changes never lasts long but still scares him half to death and always ends up in him running to his mothers side and holding her tightly as to not lose grip of reality.
