Maybe not baking

With the fire alarm blaring in the background and the oven spewing smoke into the kitchen, Pinkie felt herself dumbfounded. They hadn't even left the oven on for that long how in Equestria could the cupcakes be literally on fire? 
A quick glance towards the oven setting cleared it all up however. Sulphur must have cranked up the temperature when Pinkie wasn't looking as those poor confections had practically been cremated. 

Looking at her daughter Pinkie couldn't find it in her to be mad for long. Concerned sure, but not mad. 
Sulphur's face was beaming just looking at the small flames as they danced on the baking tray. She sure didn't care that they weren't getting any cupcakes. 

Pinkie smiled slightly as she sat next to her daughter, looking at the mess that had once been perfectly good cupcake batter. 

"I guess we can rule out baking as your special talent" She laughed slightly and put her hoof around Sulphur.

Sulphur is terrible at baking and cooking. Like she would more likely burn down the house than create something edible. 

Pinkie thought to share her love for baking with her daughters to maybe help themfind their special talent. None of them did all that well in the kitchen but Sulphur was by far the worst. 

Sulphur's fascination with fire actually made her parents concerned that she was gonna turn out to be some sort of arsonist at one point. They were relieved when her special talent turned out to be fire acrobatics, if only slightly. 


I will try to focus a bit more on just some general character interactions for a while now and not so much story related stuff. I feel my characters need some more personal development before I can proceed further in the story.
